Want Some Answers ???

Hi Wally. In response to your article from Kenneth Hagin. I have serious concerns about his theology. He said,

"The Church will do even greater things than even the Early Church did. It will have greater power, signs, and wonders than were recorded in the Acts of the Apostles". (Word Of The Lord Through Brother Kenneth Hagin, Saint Louis, July 1997)

Hagin has promoted many unbiblical things. Even Gordon Fee, a prominent Pentecostal-Charismatic teacher, calls Hagin's "prosperity teaching" 'an insidious disease which has infected American Christianity'. The problem is Hagin claimed to have received it from heaven via a revelation. That makes the Lord Jesus the author of this wrong, unbiblical, callous teaching that not only perverts the gospel but is a presumptuous stumbling block to the gospel of reconciliation. Who then revealed to Hagin that false prosperity teaching? Was it the Lord Jesus or the Devil?

During a conversation Hagin had with someone whom he claimed to be the Lord, 'The Lord' said:

"Adam originally was the god of this world. He ruled and dominated this world. That is the way I planned it. When Adam sold out to Satan, then Satan became the god of this world, as it says in Second Corinthians 4:4 But he was not the god of this world to begin with...Now, the world can build a dance hail, a honky tonk, a beer joint, or a theatre, put on a neon lights all over the front of it, and dress it up nicely. But if you want to dress up the church, people say, Ohhh, nooo! I expect my people to have the best place in town to meet in! (The Lord actually said that to me.) "

'The Lord' went on,

"I am not withholding adequate food and clothing from your little children -that is not Me! It is the devil. He is the god of this world. The money you need is down there on earth; it is not up here in heaven. And I am not going to rain any money from heaven, because I do not have any American dollars up here. And if I did rain any $20 bills down, they would be counterfeit - and I am not a counterfeiter. You see, the silver and gold are down there on earth where you need it. I said in Luke 6:38, 'Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall MEN give into your bosom' Down there-down there!"

Do you believe that the Lord Jesus talks like this? There is no comparison between the words of Hagin's lord and the words of the Lord Jesus. Do you think anyone could gain inspiration from the words of Hagin's lord? Personally, I believe it was Hagin's imagination or the one who spoke was the Imposter.

>>really don't care what Kenneth Hagin said or didn't say if it doesn't line up with scripture. And Scripture doesn't teach that the gifts of the Spirit have ceased and scripture does teach that by Jesus stripes we were healed and that Jesus said we would do greater works than Jesus did. SO DO YOU BELIEVE THE SCRIPTURES?<<

Your doctrine is the same as Hagin. I don't believe "the gifts of the spirit" have passed away, it's the "sign gifts" that ceased. I offered reasonable scriptural evidence they had.

When Peter as talking about healing by Jesus' stripes he was talking about sin, not sickness. (see Mt.8:16-17 Isa.53:5) And that is how Peter starts the verse - "Who his own self bare our sins ."

And "ye shall do greater works than these " (Isn't that the verse Hagin used?). It doesn't mean "greater miracles". The greater works of power did follow the disciples as they took the gospel out to the Gentiles so yes I do "

>>Hogwash! You are just twisting things to suit your dumb useless anemic impotent theology that does nobody any good. Get a life get Jesus get the power get the Holy Spirit and live life to the fullest!<<

Your advice is in contradiction to what you believe. Why would I want to have your doctrine and with its uncertainty - it's awful lack of assurance regarding salvation? Your theology lacks "power", its an 'impotent theology'. You think God can't keep you safe, how can anyone 'live life to the fullest' with that kind of 'dumb' hope?

From the very book (Hebrews) you said was written to tell Christians they can be lost, it's recorded "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." (Heb.7:25). For you, God lacks '
power' to save to the fullest. To me that's 'hogwash', He "is able to save to the uttermost". I already have the indwelling Holy Spirit so "sealed unto the day of redemption" (Eph.4:30)

The Bible says, by grace ye are saved, not of yourselves. [Eph.2:8]. Perhaps you could explain what that verse means? When I accepted Christ I believed on the crucified and risen Son who is "the true God and Eternal life." (1 Jn.5:20). I received the gift of God which is eternal life, I passed "out of death into life" (Jn.5:24). Since then I work, not to be saved, but because I am. Only the saved can work (Eph.2:10; Ti.3:3). For all others, "this is the work of God, that I you believe on Him who God has sent." (Jn.6:29). I read the Scriptures, not to get eternal life, but because I have eternal life and require the spiritual food suitable for one who has been born anew and from above.

It's impossible for the dead to obtain eternal life by their own efforts, (which are dead works). It is only by "the gift of God" as Jesus declared in Jn 4.10 (see also Rom.6:23).

You call my views '
dumb useless anemic impotent theology that does nobody any good ' if you are not interested in them, don't write.
